Single fare
A single fare is the standard fare paid on the bus for a one-way trip. In addition to cash, our buses accept travel tickets sold by Matkahuolto. You can also pay for your trip with a debit or credit card, except in Salo local traffic.
Children's ticket
Children under 12 years old receive a discount on the ticket price. Each full-fare-paying passenger may be accompanied by two children under 4 years old free of charge.
Youth ticket
Passengers aged 12–16 receive a discount on journeys over 60 km on all our routes.
Student ticket
Students receive a discount on journeys over 60 km by presenting a student card with the MH logo.
65+ ticket
Passengers aged 65 and older receive a discount on journeys over 30 km. Pensioners under 65 are eligible for the same discount by presenting a KELA card with the “pensioner” designation or a pension institution card with the MH logo.
Conscripts
Conscripts and civilian service personnel receive a discount on journeys over 60 km when paying in cash and presenting a conscript card or a civilian service certificate.
Online Ticket
Bus tickets can also be purchased from Matkahuolto’s online store at www.matkahuolto.fi/en. Many special offer tickets are also available online. An online ticket can be purchased up to 30 days before the departure. It must be bought at least 10 minutes before the departure from the departure station. The ticket is valid only on the specified date and journey. Online tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
Group ticket
A group of at least three people receives a 25% discount on journeys over 60 km. Group tickets must be purchased in advance from Matkahuolto.
Series and season tickets
Regular bus travelers can save significantly on travel costs by purchasing a multi-ride or season ticket. These tickets are available in the Matkahuolto’s Trips and Tickets app, which can be downloaded from your mobile app store. For more information, visit www.matkahuolto.fi/en.
Pets
Common pets can be transported on the bus with an escort and at the escorts risk, if there is room on the bus. Pets are located on the bus in such a way as to cause the minimum amount of disturbance to passengers. Pets may not be placed on seats and they must not be kept loose. No separate payment is charged for the transport of pets. Person with allergies already on the bus have the primary right to choose their seats. Other passengers can not, however, prevent the travel of a guide or service dog.
Luggage
The passenger’s regular luggage (max. two suitcases), skis and prams are transported free of charge. A payment in accordance with freight charges is charged for transporting other than the afore mentioned items.
Bicycles
Bicycles are transported at the owner’s risk if space allows. Depending on the journey length, the transport fee for a bicycle is €5–€15.
Express service
Express services stop only at the stops listed in the timetable.
Use of the radio
Radios may be used on our buses as long as they do not disturb other passengers. If even one passenger requests, the radio will be turned off.
Disturbances
All passengers have the right to enjoy a comfortable bus ride without disturbances. Staff must be allowed to do their job without interference. Staff have the right to remove from the bus any passenger who is causing a disturbance and continues to do so despite being cautioned. If the passenger cannot be removed immediately, the staff have the right, if necessary, to restrain the person involved until removal is possible.
Late or cancelled service
Passengers should be prepared for possible delays due to severe weather conditions or traffic congestion. Please note that schedules may vary on public holidays.
Any compensation for delays or cancellations is handled on a case-by-case basis. If a delay or cancellation threatens to cause additional travel expenses, the passenger should contact the bus company immediately.
The bus company is not responsible for additional damages that could have been reasonably avoided by the passenger’s own actions.
The company is not liable for costs caused by delays or cancellations due to force majeure beyond the company’s control.
