When it is dark, it is advisable to use a reflector or e.g. the light from a cell phone to give the signal. When wishing to get off the bus, passengers must give the signal to stop early enough.
The times given in our schedule are guides and indicate the earliest time the bus passes by the stop in any conditions. We always strive to remain on schedule. However, delays and route changes due to weather or traffic conditions do occasionally happen. The primary job of the drivers is to ensure safe travel and staying on schedule comes second.
EXPRESS BUS
Express buses only stop at the stops and towns stated in the schedule. All of our express buses have a WC and air conditioning. Several of our buses have a Wi-Fi connection and USB or 230V charging for e.g. cell phones or laptops.
SINGLE FARE
A single fare is a payment made on the bus using cash for a one-way ticket. In addition to cash, payment can be made using debit or credit card or the travel tickets sold by Matkahuolto. The driver prints out a ticket from the machine for the fare that has been paid. Hold on to the ticket in case of a possible ticket inspection or reclamation.
CHILDREN
Children’s tickets are sold to passengers under 12 years. For safety reasons, the driver cannot lift a person from or to a wheelchair. Sadly, we cannot take on board customers traveling in wheelchairs on our long-distance buses, as these do not have wheelchair lifts.

Any aids required by persons with reduced mobility or disability can be safely transported in the luggage compartment. Electric wheelchairs cannot be transported in the luggage compartment of the bus due to the size and weight of the chair. The WCs of our buses are not suitable for disabled use.

If a disabled person or person with reduced mobility is unable to travel alone because of his or her disability or reduced mobility, they must be accompanied by an escort. The escort may travel together with the person being assisted free of charge, if the total length of the route from the point of departure to the destination exceeds 250 km, even if the trip they actually take is shorter than that. All of the routes of Vainion Liikenne are currently shorter than 250 km, meaning that the escort pays for their fare normally.

Guide dogs travel free of charge with the person they are assisting.

All the aids needed by a passenger with reduced mobility on the trip will be carried as luggage free of charge.

The bus operator may refuse to issue a ticket or deny access to the vehicle because of the passenger’s disability or reduced mobility if this is necessary to comply with the road safety requirements contained in the applicable international, EU or national provisions.
